Use precise wording#
A resistance rating should retain its exact scope. Do not rewrite it as “waterproof,” “washable” or suitable for every outdoor condition. The separate water and dust entries should not be silently combined into a different certified code.
Charging contacts, controls, speakers and microphones also need manufacturer handling guidance. The presence of a rating does not define approved cleaning chemicals, immersion, high-pressure rinsing or charging while wet.
Practical documentation boundary#
Until the final care instructions and applicable test report are available, keep demonstrations and user instructions conservative. Avoid claiming a shower, swim or heavy-weather use case from this specification sheet.
If a sample encounters moisture or dust, document the conditions and follow the supplier’s handling instructions. Do not treat an isolated successful exposure as certification. This page explains the current evidence level; it is not a replacement for the finished device’s safety and maintenance instructions.
