Match the input to the setting#
In a shared office or café, avoid speaking credentials, client details or confidential instructions. Use typing for exact sensitive content or move to a suitable private space. Quiet speech reduces volume but should not be treated as guaranteed secrecy.
SPECS 01’s soft-capture direction is about receiving the wearer’s speech. It does not establish that the wearer is inaudible to others. A clean transcript cannot prove acoustic privacy.
Think beyond the recording#
A screen can reveal a task title, draft or attachment. The eventual prompt also reaches its chosen AI environment when sent. Hardware isolation, local recognition and provider handling each address different parts of the exposure.
Use a short non-sensitive test to evaluate the setup. Ask separately whether the speech disrupts people nearby. If the location or work policy is unsuitable, retain the idea as a private note or use a typed draft later. This is a practical privacy habit rather than a claim that any specific room or device is certified for confidential use.
