Identify the replacement#
For “Make it formal—actually, make it friendly, but keep the technical terms,” the final style is friendly and the constraint is preserving technical terms. Deleting everything before “actually” without checking the remaining context can lose an important object or condition.
Use clearer spoken markers when needed: “Replace that choice with…” or “The final number is…” After transcription, rewrite the sentence if the correction remains ambiguous. Do not expect the agent to infer which fragment you abandoned.
Watch high-impact corrections#
Numbers, dates, recipient names, task destinations and negative instructions deserve extra review. “Do it today—no, next week” changes timing. “Send—no, only draft” changes authorization. A fluent cleanup that preserves the first verb would be materially wrong.
CueSpec can provide a locally transcribed draft you edit. Automated correction interpretation is part of the optional refinement direction, whose complete service acceptance remains pending. The reliable current practice is to read the final draft and make the settled instruction explicit.
