Not every hesitation is disposable#
“Um, write three versions” usually permits removing the filler. “Maybe write three—actually, two” contains a changed number. “I think this is correct, but check it” contains uncertainty and a verification instruction. Treating all pauses or qualifiers as noise can change the work.
When reviewing a cleaned draft, compare factual content first and fluency second. Check whether the final preference survived a correction and whether an uncertain claim became a confident assertion.
Manual cleanup works now#
Use the raw local draft and remove repetitions yourself. Keep a correction if it changes audience, tone, quantity, deadline or authorization. If a phrase is ambiguous, rewrite it explicitly before sending.
A useful result is shorter and easier to read while retaining the instruction’s scope. No reviewed evidence establishes a universal filler-removal accuracy score or a fully automatic no-review workflow. The product direction is clearer expression; human review remains part of the current route.
