A small first task#
Install the current Mac release, open Codex, and choose a conversation you recognize. Read its latest answer before recording. Hold Fn, say a short instruction such as “Explain the two options before making changes,” and release. Local transcription should place text in a draft. Correct the wording and confirm the conversation title, then send deliberately.
The first successful result is a message appearing in the right Codex conversation. A receipt alone does not show that Codex has finished the work. Return to the task view to follow progress and read the eventual answer.
Keep the first attempt easy#
Use non-sensitive content and a quiet location. Avoid attachments, multiple conversations and optional text refinement until the basic route works. This isolates microphone, transcription and delivery issues instead of combining them in one trial.
If recording produces no text, check voice readiness and permissions. If sending is uncertain, retain the draft and inspect the original conversation before trying again. Windows, phone control and wearable capture have separate development paths; they are not prerequisites for this Mac walkthrough.
