Data-processing facts in the current workflow

The reviewed Mac material states that speech is transcribed locally and original recordings remain on the computer. Optional text refinement and sending a prompt to Codex are separate processing steps.

Follow the content#

Audio enters the local capture/transcription path. The result becomes a draft. If optional refinement is used, text may be processed through the configured CueSpec service. When you explicitly send, the prompt and selected attachments reach the target Codex conversation.

This is why “local transcription” should not be rewritten as “the whole workflow is offline.” Model downloads, updates, optional service calls and the AI task environment can have network requirements.

Facts still needed#

The reviewed material does not establish a complete public retention schedule, independent audit, zero-retention contract or enterprise compliance certification. Local history behavior and service policies need their own verified descriptions.

For everyday use, avoid unnecessary sensitive content, inspect attachments and understand which mode is active. If your organization requires an approved data-processing agreement or provider configuration, obtain that approval through its process. A general product explanation is not a substitute for those requirements.
