# A task is missing from the list

Check the all-task view before assuming a conversation is missing. The live list intentionally excludes expired historical states, so absence there does not mean deletion.

## Narrow the cause
Switch to all tasks and look for the recognizable title. Confirm that Codex is running in the expected environment, then open the original conversation and recheck the companion.

If the title is vague, inspect the latest answer to establish identity. Avoid selecting a similarly named project merely because it is visible. If the conversation exists in Codex but not CueSpec, note that discrepancy.

## Do not recreate prematurely
Starting a new task can split context and leave an unsent draft associated with the old one. Preserve the draft and recover the original route first where possible.

Current list support is for the Mac Codex companion. It does not establish a dashboard spanning every computer, phone or agent provider. A useful report identifies list mode, host state, versions and whether the original conversation can be opened. Remove private titles or content from public evidence if they are not needed to show the issue.
