# Read Codex quota separately from CueSpec service usage

CueSpec’s Mac companion includes a Codex quota view. Codex account limits and any future CueSpec text-refinement usage are different systems and should not be combined into one allowance.

## Interpret the number’s source
A quota readout describes the account or window reported by the host environment. It does not establish how much work a particular task will finish, and missing data should not be interpreted as unlimited capacity.

If a task waits because the model is busy, that may be a service-capacity issue rather than your account reaching a usage limit. Read the actual task state and account information before deciding what to change.

## Keep commercial scope separate
The server design includes service-usage and account concepts, but the reviewed materials do not establish a verified public CueSpec plan or pricing table. A quota panel in the companion should not be interpreted as a paid CueSpec entitlement.

For purchase or account decisions, rely on the confirmed provider’s own terms and the actual account state. This page explains separation of the two product layers; it does not invent a billing integration, refund policy or automatic model choice when limits are reached.
