# What would count as evidence for a performance claim?

A performance claim needs conditions, a method and repeatable results matching the promised scope. A microphone count, supplier phrase or single clean demonstration is not enough for a universal claim.

## Match evidence to the question
For whisper capture, record speech style, position, room and recognition errors. For surrounding-voice rejection, document the background source and any intrusive text. For office comfort, assess people’s experience nearby. For delivery, verify the task identity and received message.

Use realistic positive and difficult cases. Keep raw and refined text separate so cleanup does not hide a capture error. Report actual failures and the editing needed to repair them.

## Current boundary
CueSpec’s reviewed hardware information does not establish a verified minimum dB, perfect voice separation, all-weather performance or an inaudibility claim. Battery and resistance entries are supplier-derived and need their own test evidence.

The Mac Fn route has a documented real-user acceptance test, but that does not validate every microphone, language or recording length. Evidence should be scoped to what was tested. Future public test pages can strengthen this library by adding the method, device/software versions and results rather than broad adjectives.
