# Paste a screenshot and check its appearance

Screenshot paste is supported in the reviewed Mac release, and a color-handling fix received real-user confirmation. Thumbnail crop and source-image color are different issues.

## Before sending
Capture only the useful area, inspect private details and paste into the intended draft. Add a short explanation of the visible issue. Check the selected attachment before taking the send action.

After delivery, a square thumbnail in Codex can reflect the host’s display style rather than an altered image. Open or inspect the received image if the content appears cropped. Do not repeatedly resend just to change a thumbnail.

## If color appears wrong
Compare the original screenshot, the selected preview and the received image. Note whether you pasted directly or saved and attached a file. The development history used this distinction to locate the earlier gamma issue.

A corrected test for one screenshot path does not prove all future clipboard formats are flawless. If the issue returns, retain a small non-sensitive reproduction and the app version. Avoid including credentials or full conversations simply to demonstrate a visual defect.
