# Open a task and its reply draft

Choose a task from CueSpec’s list to read its latest answer and prepare a reply. Check the conversation identity before entering or sending new text.

## Daily route
Use the live list for current work or all tasks for an older conversation. Open the intended item, read the latest answer and identify the next decision. Your reply can be typed or created through local voice input.

The reply field remains editable before sending. If the response references a screenshot or file, add and inspect that attachment. A title can help selection, while the answer confirms actual context.

## Keep the task boundary
Do not use an open detail panel as a universal inbox for unrelated projects. A message in a task inherits that task’s earlier assumptions and permissions. If the instruction belongs elsewhere, choose the correct destination first.

When the visible answer is insufficient, inspect the original Codex conversation for fuller context. CueSpec’s compact view reduces switching but does not eliminate the need to review source material or all execution evidence. If the task is missing or stale, troubleshoot the connection and list mode before creating duplicate work.
