# The boundary of today’s agent-management features

Today’s released Mac scope is a Codex companion: task status, latest answers, drafts and in-context replies. Broad multi-agent orchestration and multi-LLM switching remain future product scope.

## Available value
Use the task overview to reduce window switching, identify a task needing attention and reply after review. These capabilities can help manage several conversations even without creating or routing agents automatically.

## What needs a separate design
Broader orchestration must define how new tasks are created, which environment executes them, how models are chosen and what permission applies to each action. It also needs failure recovery, cost visibility and clear task identity across devices.

The team’s product direction does not yet provide a delivered matrix of providers, tools and agent platforms. Do not infer that every app with an AI chat box is supported.

## Current alternative
Manage task creation and model choices in the original host application, then use CueSpec for the documented companion workflow where compatible. Keep future integration pages marked accordingly. A useful roadmap explains what comes next and the conditions for readiness, without turning an aspiration into a current sales claim.
