# iPhone: a later companion route

iPhone support is planned after Windows and multi-computer work. The intended direction is a companion route to a selected computer, not independent execution of desktop Codex tasks on the phone.

## Intended use
Review task progress, read a question and prepare a reply while away from the desktop. The selected computer would still need to run the task environment and be available for delivery and execution.

A future voice interface needs clear capture, review and destination confirmation. A phone note should not silently become an authorized desktop action.

## What is not delivered here
The reviewed snapshot does not establish a public iPhone app, system keyboard, Action Button mapping or complete mobile sync. Those features should not be copied from another product’s help center.

Today, an existing phone note tool can capture an idea for later manual transfer. Review it in the target task before sending. Future iPhone documentation should identify the actual app release, connection dependencies and what happens when the selected computer is offline. This page describes a direction without a delivery date or feature-parity guarantee.
