# Install CueSpec on Mac

Download the official universal ZIP, extract it, and move CueSpec.app into Applications. The reviewed Mac release is 0.3.0 build 20, signed with a company Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

## Installation route
1. Obtain the [official Mac ZIP](https://updates.cuespec.ai/v0.3.0-build20/CueSpec-0.3.0-build20-macOS-universal.zip).
2. Extract the archive and move the app into Applications.
3. Launch CueSpec and check the version in its status overview.
4. Prepare the local speech model and requested permissions before your first spoken draft.
5. Open Codex and use a non-sensitive conversation for the first delivery test.

The [release installation note](https://updates.cuespec.ai/v0.3.0-build20/Mac-install.txt) accompanies this package. Public download does not require a GitHub account.

## What this confirms
Installation gets the app onto the Mac. Speech recognition, optional text refinement and conversation delivery should then be checked separately. An app that opens successfully may still lack a speech model or the permissions needed for your chosen interaction.

If macOS reports an unexpected damaged-app or security warning, retain the exact message, check the download source and consult the installation troubleshooting article. Do not change system-wide security settings merely to bypass a warning. The published package has been notarized, but every fresh-machine installation path has not been personally verified.
