# Create your first spoken draft

Hold Fn to speak, release to finish, and inspect the locally transcribed draft before sending. The basic Fn recording-to-draft-to-explicit-send route has a documented real-user acceptance test.

## Make the first draft short
Open a known conversation and say one instruction. For example: “Keep the current introduction and suggest a shorter ending.” Release Fn and allow transcription to finish. Read the draft rather than judging success from the recording animation alone.

Check names, numbers and negative instructions. Add any missing scope with the keyboard. You can use speech for the explanation and typing for a filename or exact identifier; these input methods can coexist in one draft.

## Know the stopping points
Stopping recording, producing a draft and sending a message are different actions. Release ends capture; it does not authorize the final instruction. If the draft is wrong, repair it before delivery. If you are unsure of the destination, return to the intended conversation and verify its context.

This first-use route concerns local transcription. Optional text refinement requires a configured service and login, with complete real-service acceptance still pending in the reviewed snapshot. If you want to evaluate refinement, start with an already working raw draft so you can compare the original wording and the revised result.
